F&ES Internship Fund

$ 100,000   30 opportunities

A cornerstone of the Yale F&ES experience is the internship. During the summer between their first and second years, students spend ten to twelve weeks working with an organization, typically a not-for-profit agency or group, or out in the field. Internships are identified and negotiated by the student and supervised by the student’s faculty adviser. Many of the internships are unpaid, and school funds available to support students in volunteer positions are very limited. As a result, many students take out loans to complete their summer internships. A permanent endowment will ensure that students can gain critical ‘hands-on’ experience without going into further debt.
